Puthagam is an upcoming Indian Tamil film, produced by S. Manjula for Ram Pictures Private Limited. Ram Pictures Private Limited is headed by Dr. V. Ramadoss. Dr.V. Ramadoss is a Medical Practitioner and an entrepreneur, who is involved in various industries like Medicine, Food Processing and Hospitality, Media and Entertainment.
The movie is directed by debutant Vijay Adiraj, a television actor /anchor. Sathya, brother of Actor Arya is playing the lead role. Rakul Preet, a former Miss India is the leading lady. Sanjay Barathi, son of veteran actor/director Santhana Barathi along with Vignesh Vijaykumar of Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Eppadi fame play pivotal roles in the movie. Telugu star Jagapathi Babu is believed to be playing a key role in the movie. The movie has supporting star cast which include Mysore Suresh, Thalaivasal Vijay, Santhana Barathi, Delhi Ganesh, Crazy Mohan, Fathima Babu, Uma Padmanabhan and others.
The movie is shot in Sony F 65. J.Laxman Kumar of Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu is the man behind the camera and the music is scored by James Vasanthan. The movie also has GK as its art director.
