Raja Rani is an upcoming Indian Tamil film directed by Shankar’s former assistant Atlee Kumar and produced by A. R. Murugadoss in association with Fox Star Studios. The film features Arya, Nayantara and Jai in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to release in June 2013.

Initially it was rumored that Priya Anand was considered for the lead role. But later it was announced that Nayantara would pair up with her Boss Engira Bhaskaran costar Arya in this film. Jai is also doing a pivoted role in this film. Sathyaraj, Santhanam and Sathyan will play vital roles in this movie. The film has music by G. V. Prakash Kumar and camera is by debutant George, a former associate of Nirav Shah.
Filming
The film began it’s first schedule at a bungalow in Greams road, Chennai. Kamal Haasan switched on the camera and a song picturizing Jai and Nayanthara was canned on the occasion. The sequence involving Jai and Nayantara will be canned first and Arya will join the team after he completes his work on Irandam Ulagam.
