Kumki out of Diwali race

Vikram Prabhu’s debutant project Kumki is out of Diwali race due to pending graphics and post-production works.

Director Prabhu Solomon was keen to release Kumki for Diwali to bring back the success of Amala Paul’s Mynaa that was earlier released for Diwali during 2010. But producer N. Lingusamy and the team have confirmed the postponement of Kumki release to December.

Kumki was slated to be released on Nov 13^th along with STR’s Podaa Podi, Thangar Bachchan’s Ammavin Kaipesi and Mansoor Ali Khan’s Lollu Dada Parakh Parakh, 3 days after Vijay’s Thuppakki [Nov 9]. The delay of Kumki might result in getting more screens for ‘Podaa Podi’, launch pad of Varalakshmi Sarathkumar.
